Can I use my existing equipment?
Yes! Wironium is completely compatible with all casting machines--gas or electric burn-out furnaces, hydrocolloid units, electro polishers and drying ovens. All you need for bubble-free models and moulds are a vacuum mixer and pressure vessel.

Is it the same as other leading RPD systems?
Similar, yes -- the same, no. Wironium is a high-heat CrCo alloy system which uses a phosphate-bound refractory material which is much cleaner to use so there's not as much powder and dust build up in the laboratory. Its phosphate refractory and special duplicating systems also make for cleaner casting. In addition to physical properties very close to a Type IV gold, Wironium is a high heat Cr-Co system (Nickel and Beryllium free) with added nitrogen to allow for adjustments at chair side, without worry of breakage. Wironium's physical properties allow for thinner, lighter-weight designs that provide greater patient comfort. Its "European" style designs also offer new options for difficult cases. Does it cost more than other RPD systems?
Wironium is competitively priced with leading alloys, but allows for higher pricing levels, which increases profit margins for chrome departments. All of which adds up to make it a great value. The average cost of a Wironium partial duplicated in hydrocolloid is $11.26. Duplication in silicone adds $7.00 per case.
